St. Therese Circle

Mission Statement & Information

St. Therese Circle began at St. Anthony’s Church in the 1940’s.  Since then we have evolved and joined together with the Ladies’ Guild.  As a unit, we promote fellowship and honor St. Theresa by promoting knowledge and prayer to her.  We also support the Walk For Life and the Pro-Life Ministry.

St. Therese of the Child Jesus was called “the greatest saint of modern times” by Pope Pius X.  In 1997 she was declared a Doctor of the Church and her “Little Way of Spiritual Childhood” is a doctrine for the spiritual life can be lived by anyone to achieve holiness.

St. Therese Circle holds two rummage sales a year which enable us to help the following groups through St. Anthony Church:

· St. Vincent dePaul (a parish volunteer organization that services the needy in the community)

· Family Life Services (a local pregnancy counseling agency with volunteer staff from St. Anthony Parish)

· Mary’s Mantle (an approved apostolate of the Archdiocese of Detroit for homeless pregnant women)

We welcome all ladies of St. Anthony Parish to  join us and learn more about St. Therese and the many things we do in her name and St. Anthony’s Church.
